Sausalito Marin City School District voters will pick three trustees from four candidates on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, according to Marin County Elections. Ballotpedia says the district served 265 students at a single school in the 2025 school year. Its board has five members serving four-year terms.

A separate short-term seat has one candidate: appointed incumbent Jamal Graham, the county filing list shows.

The candidates

  • Lauren J. Walters (Trustee). Walters' county voter guide statement says Walters has lived in the district for 14 years, has served on the board since 2022 and is Board President. It says Walters supported the parcel tax that expanded educational opportunities and earlier served six years on the Concord School Committee and the Concord-Carlisle Regional High School Committee in Massachusetts, chairing both. Walters is a lawyer and entrepreneur, according to the statement.
  • Alena Maunder (Registered Nurse). Maunder's statement says Maunder served as a district trustee from 2020 to 2024 and worked toward unification of the district's schools. It cites more than 20 years as a registered nurse and healthcare leader. Its listed priorities include academic excellence, expanded mental health supports and strong special education programs.
  • LeShawn Holcomb (Educator / Nonprofit Director). Holcomb's statement describes a current Dean of Students at a Marin high school and former district employee. It lists three priorities: rebuilding trust, fully realizing the Community Schools model, and strengthening middle school curriculum and outcomes.
  • Eduardo Vazquez (Social Worker / Parent). The statement, filed under the name Eduardo Vazquez Rodriguez, describes a parent of a middle schooler and a fifth grader enrolled in the district since 2018. It says Vazquez is a former community organizer and an immigrant who has lived in Marin City for more than 20 years.
