Sonoma Valley Unified, which Ballotpedia says served 3,049 students in eight schools in the 2025 school year, has one contested seat on Nov. 3: Trustee Area 1. Both candidates are newcomers, the Press Democrat reports.
The candidates
- Amanda Radzik (Parent/Logistics Manager). Radzik's county voter guide statement says she is a district alumna, a former educator and the parent of three current students. Citing declining enrollment and "difficult decisions about school facilities," Radzik promises transparency and careful stewardship of taxpayer money.
- Susan Joyce McIntosh (Writer). McIntosh's statement says she was communications director for Girls Inc. of Alameda County and would prioritize literacy, support for teachers and staff, student safety and transparency.
Endorsements
According to the Sonoma County DSA guide, Radzik is endorsed by the Valley of the Moon Teachers Association and McIntosh by the state and county Democratic Parties. The DSA made no recommendation.
Sonoma city voters also elect a council member: Sonoma City Council District 1.
