The North Marin Water District, which serves the Novato area, has one board seat on the Nov. 3 ballot: Division 5.
The candidates
- Marc Hunter Lewis, community policy advocate
- Laurie L. Williams, principal planner
Both names and occupations come from the Marin County Elections Department, which lists one open seat and two qualified candidates. The county list does not mark either one as an incumbent. Ballotpedia's Marin County page lists the same two-person race.
How it works
Division seats are elected by district. Only voters who live in Division 5 will see this race, and whoever gets more votes wins.

How to vote
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls and vote centers close at 8 p.m., and mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and arrive within seven days. You can check your registration and ballot status at sos.ca.gov/elections. California lets you register and vote the same day at a vote center.
