San Francisco police and prosecutors announced Wednesday, Oct. 14, that four men have been arrested in connection with the Feb. 9 shooting that wounded 49ers defensive end Keion White at a Mission District nightclub. The arrests were made between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9 in Atlanta, Stockton, Irvine and Los Angeles, the San Francisco Police Department said, at the end of a months-long investigation officers called "Operation D-Line."
What happened in February
Police say the shooting happened just after 4 a.m. on Feb. 9 on the 1700 block of Mission Street, at Dahlia's, a bar and nightclub where White was hosting a Super Bowl party, ABC7 reported. White, now 27, was shot in the right ankle and was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Witnesses said White had argued with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, whose given name is Dominique Jones, before shots were fired, according to the San Francisco Standard. Investigators say the suspects, some of them showing guns, confronted White, which led to a physical fight between him and the group. Police Chief Derrick Lew described the scene as chaotic, with patrons ducking for cover and running from the crowded club. KTVU reported that police described the shooting as following a verbal altercation between two groups outside a business.
Who was arrested, and where
- Marquis Davis, 38, was arrested Oct. 7 at his home in Atlanta. SFPD said officers found an illegal firearm along with 820 grams of MDMA, 1,026 grams of methamphetamine, 979 grams of cocaine and 3,842 grams of fentanyl.
- Antoine Washington, 36, was arrested Oct. 7 in Stockton by SFPD officers and San Joaquin County sheriff's deputies, who police say recovered a loaded firearm, more than 120 oxycodone pills and about $6,691 in cash.
- Curtis Green, 35, was arrested later that day at his home in Irvine, KTVU reported.
- Gregory Walker, 36, a Mountain House resident whom prosecutors describe as the gunman, was arrested Friday, Oct. 9, by the Los Angeles Police Department.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said Walker is charged with assault with a firearm, with an allegation that he personally fired the shot that wounded White, plus a great bodily injury enhancement and three counts tied to possessing a firearm as a felon. Walker and Green have been booked into San Francisco County Jail. The Standard reported Green was booked on misdemeanor weapons charges. Charges against Davis and Washington have not been announced, and the DA's office says it is working with other jurisdictions to bring them to San Francisco.
A case that grew
Police said the investigation involved more than 50 search warrants and help from more than 250 law enforcement personnel across the country, and that officers seized several guns and nearly 15 pounds of narcotics during raids on the suspects' homes. "What started as a shooting investigation expanded rapidly," Lew said. SFPD Lt. Rich Hunt said the four men are the only suspects in the case, which police describe as ongoing.
White, acquired by the 49ers before the 2025 trade deadline, has started four of the team's five games this season, according to the Standard.
