The candidates

Ballot designations are in parentheses.

  • Scott S. Dudek (Incumbent)
  • Emil Johnson Geddes (Incumbent)
  • Steve Gursky (Incumbent)
  • Oxsana Pajoluk (Mother/Business Owner) is an immigrant from the former Soviet Union and a mother of four school-age children. In her Ballotpedia survey she puts student achievement first, especially math. She says the district has low per-student funding, historically low reserves and softening enrollment, and that budget cuts may be needed. She also wants clear notice to parents about classroom materials and a real opt-out where the law allows.
  • Mark Anderson (Principal IT Consultant) is on the ballot. We did not find a published platform.

Voters may pick up to three. If all three incumbents win, the board stays the same. If either challenger wins, at least one incumbent loses. Brentwood voters will also see Liberty Union’s Measure X high school bond. For logistics, see our Contra Costa voting guide.
