The Warriors take on Phoenix at Chase Center on Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. Pacific. It's the second night of a back-to-back, and this time Steve Kerr flipped the usual plan by resting Curry and Green on the first night.

A different back-to-back plan

When these teams played Oct. 24 in Phoenix, Kerr rested Curry, Green, Al Horford and Brandin Podziemski after a home loss to Memphis the night before. Devin Booker scored 43, and the Suns won 131-122 (our recap). This time Curry and Green sat out Sunday against the Clippers, and Yaxel Lendeborg filled the gap with a season-high 37 points in a 124-112 win (our recap).

“Really I leave it up to Rick (Celebrini),” Kerr said, referring to the team's director of sports medicine and performance. He added, “It doesn't mean it's going to happen every time.”

Where the teams stand

Curry has been hot, scoring 99 points over three straight wins against Denver, Minnesota and the Lakers and making 17 of 33 three-pointers. Phoenix has lost to Oklahoma City and Denver since the first meeting. In those two games Booker scored 23 points total on 8-of-26 shooting. The Suns' injury report lists only center Mark Williams, who is out after shoulder surgery. Forward Oso Ighodaro is back from an oblique strain.
