The 0-2 Golden State Warriors play the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. PT in Phoenix, and they will likely be without both starting guards, Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski.
Why it matters: It's the second night of a back-to-back after Friday's 111-108 home-opener loss to Memphis, and the start of a three-game road trip.
Who's out
- Podziemski: "No, I won't play tomorrow," he said after Friday's game, NBC Sports Bay Area reported. He is dealing with a back tweak.
- Curry: Asked about Saturday, the 38-year-old said, "Probably not, but I'll talk to the staff."
- Jimmy Butler (ACL rehab), Moses Moody (patellar tendon rehab) and Kristaps Porzingis, who has been away from the team, are also out.
How to watch
Tipoff is 7 p.m. PT at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, on NBC, according to the Warriors.
What to watch
Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg had his first career double-double Friday with 18 points and six assists, the first Warriors rookie with those numbers in a game since Chris Webber in 1994, the team said. Phoenix also lost to Memphis in its opener and eliminated Golden State in last season's Play-In Tournament.
Friday's recap: Warriors fall to Grizzlies 111-108. The Warriors return to Chase Center Oct. 30 against the Lakers.
