The Baltimore Ravens have ruled quarterback Lamar Jackson out of Sunday's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Tyler Huntley will start for the third straight week.
Why it matters: Baltimore is in a tight AFC North race and plays three games in 12 days.
The injury
Jackson was hurt in Week 4 against Tennessee. Pro Football Rumors, citing The Athletic, reported that team doctors diagnosed a high ankle sprain. He had been listed as questionable after limited practices.
In his words
"If I can just go out there and just be a statue and get hit, [there's] no positives in that," Jackson told reporters, according to the team. Huntley led a comeback win in Atlanta but the Ravens lost at Cleveland last week.

The unbeaten 49ers will play the Falcons without Mike Evans, Nick Bosa and Deebo Samuel. Kyle Shanahan expects to have fewer than 48 players available, and Christian Kirk is set to make his season debut.
Jackson Brousseau, filling in for an injured starter, led a 75-yard drive capped by Ashten Emory's 2-yard score as Cal won 25-20 in Berkeley. Stanford had a rougher day, losing 58-7 at No. 3 Notre Dame.
