Hercules voters will fill two City Council seats on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, choosing from four candidates: John Delgado, Preet Sidhu, Dion Bailey and Adrena Breckenridge. Seats are at-large, so every voter in Hercules can vote for up to two candidates, and the top two win four-year terms.
Who is on the ballot?
Contra Costa County's qualified-candidate list prints the names in this order:
- John Delgado
- Preet Sidhu
- Dion Bailey, the current mayor, whose council term ends in December 2026
- Adrena Breckenridge
The city's elections page lists Bailey (mayor) and Vice Mayor Chris Kelley as the two councilmembers whose terms expire in December 2026. Kelley is not on the ballot, so at least one new member will join the five-member council. Councilmembers Alexander Walker-Griffin and Tiffany Grimsley serve through December 2028. The council chooses the mayor and vice mayor from among its members each December.
