What Zillow shows
Zillow's Home Value Index puts the typical Fairfield home at $598,419 as of Sept. 30, 2026, down 0.9% from a year earlier. Zillow says homes go pending in about 23 days.
What it means for buyers and sellers
Fairfield is Solano County's largest market and Redfin rates it "somewhat competitive" (Compete Score 69). The average home sells about 1% below list in around 46 days, so buyers have room to negotiate. More sales and fewer price cuts than a year ago, though, suggest prices may be finding a floor.
Redfin figures cover the three months through September 2026 and compare with the same period a year earlier. Zillow's Home Value Index is a typical-home estimate, not a sale price, so the two numbers measure different things and won't match exactly.
