What it means for buyers and sellers

Vallejo is one of the Bay Area's most affordable cities for buyers, and it is one of the few places where homes are typically selling below asking. Both Redfin and Zillow show prices down from a year ago, but sales picked up, which suggests buyers are coming back at lower prices. Buyers have room to negotiate on many listings; sellers should price carefully. Compare other cities in our Bay Area home prices comparison.

Redfin figures cover the three months through September 2026 and compare with the same period a year earlier. Zillow's Home Value Index is a typical-home estimate, not a sale price, so the two numbers measure different things and won't match exactly.
