Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified, which Ballotpedia says served 6,357 students in 13 schools in the 2025 school year, has one contested board seat on Nov. 3: Trustee Area 1. Its Area 2 and Area 4 seats were uncontested and left off the ballot, the Press Democrat reports.

The candidates

  • Leff Brown (Incumbent). Brown's county voter guide statement says he has been a trustee for 32 years and will focus on academic excellence, fiscal stewardship and arts, athletics and career technical education.
  • Angela Marie Scardina (Educator). Scardina's statement says she has worked for the district for 27 years and raised three children who graduated from it. Her priorities are academic resources, teacher retention and "strict fiscal responsibility."
  • Nathan Toister (Post-Secondary Educator). Toister's statement calls for healthier food and more physical education, more after-school care, a review of half-day school weeks, before- and after-school academic support, and more public safety officers on campuses.

Rohnert Park voters also decide Measure K, a half-cent sales tax.
