The 0-3 Warriors visit the Denver Nuggets on Monday at 7 p.m. PT at Ball Arena, trying to avoid their first 0-4 start since 2007-08.

Why it matters: Golden State has lost three straight, including a blown late lead in Friday's home opener and a nine-point loss at Phoenix on Saturday with its top veterans resting.

Warriors

  • Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski sat Saturday and should be available, per Field Level Media.
  • Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg leads the team at 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds a game and scored 26 at Phoenix.
  • SI lists Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porzingis as out.
  • Steve Kerr on Lendeborg: "I love the young guy... I love his competitiveness."

Nuggets

  • Denver rallied from 23 down to beat New Orleans 141-135 in overtime Saturday. Nikola Jokic had 35 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists; Jamal Murray scored 42.
  • Cameron Johnson (ankle) and Alpha Diallo (wrist) are listed as doubtful.

Up next

  • The Warriors play at Minnesota on Wednesday, then host the Lakers on Friday.
