What Zillow shows

What it means for buyers and sellers

Sunnyvale is one of the few large Bay Area cities where sales volume rose from a year ago, and bidding is still common: Redfin's three-month figures show about four offers per home. Zillow's estimate of the typical home is slightly above $2 million, while Redfin's median sale price is a bit lower because it reflects the mix of homes that actually sold, including condos. Buyers should plan to go over asking on well-priced homes. See how Mountain View compares next door.

Redfin figures cover the three months through September 2026 and compare with the same period a year earlier. Zillow's Home Value Index is a typical-home estimate, not a sale price, so the two numbers measure different things and won't match exactly.
