The Richardson Bay Sanitary District board has three seats on the Nov. 3 ballot, and four people are running for them.

The candidates

  • Mark Fitzgerald, incumbent
  • Peter McIntosh, incumbent
  • Patrick Walravens, incumbent
  • John Turnacliff, equipment financing executive

Those occupations come from the Marin County Elections Department's candidate list. The Ark, the Tiburon Peninsula's newspaper, described the contest as three incumbents facing a single challenger.

How it works

Voters can choose up to three candidates. The three with the most votes take the seats. With three incumbents and three seats, the only way the board changes is if Turnacliff finishes ahead of at least one incumbent.

How to vote

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls and vote centers close at 8 p.m., and mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and arrive within seven days. You can check your registration and ballot status at sos.ca.gov/elections. California lets you register and vote the same day at a vote center.
