Napa Valley Unified, which Ballotpedia says served 16,103 students in 26 schools in the 2025 school year, has three contested trustee races on Nov. 3: Areas 1, 6 and 7. Area 3 was uncontested and is off the ballot, the Press Democrat reports.

The candidates

  • Robin Jankiewicz (Incumbent). Jankiewicz's county voter guide statement says the board "stabilized NVUSD's finances, preventing insolvency while strengthening cash reserves" during the candidate's eight years as a trustee. It also cites the board's 2025 Golden Gavel award from the California School Boards Association, and says Jankiewicz is a state-level CSBA director.
  • Matthew McMann (Small Business Owner). McMann's statement describes a lifelong Napa resident with two children in the district who fundraises for the Willow Elementary parents and faculty association and coaches youth baseball and soccer. The statement promises integrity, transparency and fiscal responsibility.
