What Zillow shows

What it means for buyers and sellers
Redfin rates Los Altos "most competitive," with a Compete Score of 93. Most homes get multiple offers, often with waived contingencies, and hot homes sell for about 19% over list in around six days. Only about one listing in ten had a price cut. Redfin and Zillow land within about $30,000 of each other here, which is unusual and suggests the median isn't being skewed by an odd mix of sales. Redfin figures cover the three months through September 2026 and compare with the same period a year earlier. Zillow's Home Value Index is a typical-home estimate, not a sale price, so the two numbers measure different things and won't match exactly.
