Danville's Planning Commission is holding a public hearing Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. on Martin Hills Ranch, a proposed hillside subdivision on the Elworthy East property, according to the town and Danville San Ramon.
What's proposed
- Site: 103 acres at the end of Como Way and Borica Drive, with access proposed as an extension of Como Way.
- Request: rezone from A-4 Agricultural Preserve to P-1 Planned Unit Development, and subdivide for 21 single-family lots and one residential parcel, with much of the land kept as open space.
- Applicant: Bates Stringer Martin Hills Ranch LLC.
How it got here
The application originally proposed 19 lots, according to the town's project page. The town required an environmental impact report; the draft EIR circulated for public comment from April 7 to May 22, 2026, with a Planning Commission hearing on its adequacy April 28. The Design Review Board reviewed architectural plans June 11. A final EIR with responses to comments is now available on the town's site.
The Planning Commission's action is a recommendation. Final approval, including certification of the final EIR, requires a Town Council vote.
