Calistoga Joint Unified, which Ballotpedia says served 768 students in three schools in the 2025 school year, has two at-large seats on the Nov. 3 ballot. Voters pick up to two. Part of the district is in Sonoma County, so some Sonoma voters will see this race, according to the Press Democrat and Napa County's candidate guide. The guide lists Laurel Rios and Indira Jones-Lopez as the current officeholders, and only Rios is running.
The candidates
- Laurel Rios (Incumbent).
- Irene Pena (School Psychologist). Pena's county voter guide statement says Pena has lived in Calistoga since 1995 and has children in the district's schools.
- Cecilia Ramirez (Hairdresser/parent). Ramirez's statement describes a parent of three sons in the district and wants more AP courses, better athletics support, broader parent engagement and close budget oversight.
- Rebecca Sager (Teacher, 58). Sager's statement says Sager taught music at Calistoga Elementary from 2023 to 2026 and holds a doctorate in ethnomusicology from the University of Texas at Austin.
