Alameda County prosecutors have charged a 19-year-old in a string of armed robberies at Oakland 7-Eleven stores this month, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced.
The charges
The DA’s office says Angel Guadalupe Flores and others brandished guns and took money and property from 7-Eleven stores on Harrison Street and Piedmont Avenue on Oct. 13, Oct. 15 and Oct. 25. KRON4 reported that he faces three counts of second-degree robbery with firearm and violent-conduct allegations.
Flores is also charged in a separate case from San Leandro. Prosecutors allege that on Oct. 15 he assaulted a person at that person’s home, hit them with a gun and took their property. KRON4 reported those charges are two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, first-degree residential robbery and carrying a loaded gun in public, with vulnerable-victim allegations.
Court dates
Jail records show Flores was arrested in San Francisco on Oct. 27, KRON4 reported. He was set to appear Oct. 30 at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland. His next listed date is Thursday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. in Department 702 of the East County Hall of Justice in Dublin, the DA’s office said.
Charges are only accusations. Flores is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
