American Canyon voters will choose two City Council members on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, from five candidates: Councilmember David Oro and challengers Sindy Biederman, Robert Cole, Jim Giron and Jason Kishineff, the Press Democrat reported. The seats are at-large, so every voter in the city can vote for up to two candidates. Councilmember Mark Joseph is not seeking reelection, so at least one new member will join the council. The mayor's seat is not on this ballot.

Who is running?

  • David Oro, the only incumbent in the race. In his Ballotpedia candidate survey he describes himself as a small business owner and a nine-year member of the council.
  • Sindy Biederman
  • Robert Cole
  • Jim Giron
  • Jason Kishineff

The five candidates met at a Sept. 30 forum hosted by the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce at the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley American Canyon Clubhouse. About 50 people attended, with more watching online, and questions covered the local economy, the city's future and how the council could better connect with residents, businesses and other local agencies, according to the Press Democrat.
