The 49ers come out of their bye with a November schedule that swings from easy to very hard.
The schedule
According to the team's schedule (all times Pacific):
- Sunday, Nov. 8: vs. Las Vegas Raiders, 1:25 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 15: at Dallas Cowboys, 1:25 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 22: vs. Minnesota Vikings in Mexico City, 5:20 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 29: vs. Seattle Seahawks, 1:25 p.m.
Soft landing, then a gauntlet
The Raiders rank No. 27 in defensive DVOA and the Cowboys No. 31, and both allow 373.7 yards a game, tied for third-worst in the league, the SF Standard reports. Then come the Vikings, No. 2 in defensive DVOA, at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, followed by the Seahawks, who will be coming off their own bye.
Where the offense stands
After a hot September, the offense slipped in October from No. 1 to No. 2 in expected points added per play. But it's still No. 1 in DVOA, which adjusts for opponents, the Standard says. The 49ers lead the league with a 52.7% success rate. Christian McCaffrey leads NFL running backs in EPA per rush, and the line ranks No. 1 in ESPN's pass-block win rate.
The big question is at wide receiver, where injuries have piled up. The Standard notes that the 49ers would love to have Mike Evans back for the Vikings and Seahawks games.
