The six candidates running for Vallejo City Council have raised more than $120,000 combined, the Vallejo Sun reported from campaign filings.

Unlike Benicia, Richmond, Oakland and San Francisco, Vallejo has no local contribution limits, so candidates only have to follow the state cap of $5,900 per contributor.

District 4

Brianna Rogers has raised about $33,500, the most of any council candidate, including about $2,500 of her own money. She is running against incumbent Charles Palmares and Chris Platzer. Rogers told the Vallejo Sun that SEIU Local 1021 is contributing $5,900, but that check had not yet been reported.

Palmares has reported about $13,000 from almost 30 contributors. Platzer has not reported contributions but lent his campaign $1,250.

District 5

Rebekah Truemper has raised about $32,500. Tara Beasley-Stansberry has raised about $28,500, nearly half from herself or her wife, including a $10,000 loan. Tanya Hall has reported about $12,000, almost all from herself, and the Vallejo Sun reported she has not disclosed how she spent it.

How the race has grown

In early August, JohnGlidden.com counted just over $57,000 raised by four candidates from January through June 30. At that point Beasley-Stansberry led with $18,644, followed by Rogers with $18,145 and Truemper with just over $12,000.
