A 15-year-old was shot in Vacaville on Halloween night, Vacaville police said.
What happened
Officers were called at 10:22 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, to a shooting outside a home near Canterbury Circle and Hampton Street, NBC Bay Area reported. They found the teen lying in the road with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. By Sunday morning, police said his condition had stabilized and he was expected to survive, according to CBS San Francisco.
Preliminary information shows the shooting followed an argument at a nearby home where people had gathered, police said. NBC Bay Area reported that police called it an isolated incident and said the suspect has not been identified and is still at large.
A violent Halloween weekend in Solano County
The shooting came a day after the deadly shooting at a Fairfield Spirit Halloween store, and hours after a fatal shooting in Vallejo.
Detectives are investigating. Police ask anyone with information to call the Vacaville Police Department's tip line.
