The Sharks wrap up a four-game homestand Monday night against the Calgary Flames at SAP Center. San Jose enters at 7-7-1, just outside a playoff spot, after a 5-1 loss to Ottawa on Saturday (our recap).
“It’s not good enough”
“We're 15 games into it, and we probably still haven't played really a complete game,” Warsofsky said. He pointed to the season-opening 4-3 overtime win over Florida as maybe the only exception. “It's not good enough. We've got to go back and look at everything.” Against Ottawa, Michael Misa tied the game 1-1 late in the first period, but the Senators then scored four straight. It was the seventh game in a row in which the Sharks were outshot.
“We've shown in spurts the kind of team we can be when we're firing on all cylinders,” Barclay Goodrow said. “It comes down to consistency.”
The Flames
Calgary arrives after a 5-2 loss at Colorado on Saturday that started a three-game road trip, which ends Wednesday in Seattle. The Flames have lost two of their last three after a four-game winning streak. Joel Farabee has 12 points in his last eight games. Calgary says goalie Dustin Wolf will likely start after call-up Arsenii Sergeev made 28 saves in Denver.
