Why it matters: The loss closed a six-game road trip at 3-2-1 and left the Sharks at 6-5-1. They host Buffalo on Tuesday.
How it went
San Jose got goals from Misa, Sherwood (short-handed), Orlov and Will Smith. Alex Nedeljkovic made 29 saves.
David Pastrnak's tying goal was the 427th of his career, matching Patrice Bergeron on Boston's all-time list, per NHL.com. Hagens and Minten followed, and Borgen added an empty-netter.
The Sharks lead the NHL with four short-handed goals, but coach Ryan Warsofsky said "we've got to start scoring 5-on-5."
