Imperial Garden Seafood Restaurant, a dim sum and clay pot spot at 2626 San Bruno Ave. that opened in 1995, will serve its last meal on Dec. 31, The San Francisco Standard reports. It is a San Francisco Legacy Business.
Why it's closing
Owner Elaine Yen told the Standard the building sold in February. The new owners let the family leave early because they have no long-term plan for a restaurant there. Yen said the restaurant was not pushed out. She cited a neighborhood that eats out less, a lack of parking and a struggle since the pandemic. The Standard notes Imperial Garden is the city's only vegan dim sum option.
