The Presidio will celebrate two fall holidays at once. On Saturday, Nov. 7, Presidio Tunnel Tops and the Crissy Field Center host a free Día de los Muertos and Diwali festival that honors Latinx and South Asian traditions in a national park.

What to expect

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families can do arts and crafts and enjoy storytelling, cultural dance, song and a fire ceremony. Organizers also plan activities about social and environmental justice issues in both cultures. All ages are welcome.

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is also holding a Planting as Remembrance volunteer session from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Spots are limited, and you must register in advance on the Conservancy's event page.

Getting there

The festival is near 210 Lincoln Blvd. Muni's 43 Masonic stops at the Presidio Transit Center, and the 30 Stockton stops by the Sports Basement parking lot. The free PresidioGo shuttle's Downtown route also goes to the Transit Center.
