Measure B had 11,819 yes votes (64.05%) to 6,635 no as of 8:13 a.m. Wednesday, per KQED and NBC Bay Area.
NBC lists it as the Napa County Wildfire Preparedness, Watershed Protection and Open Space Preservation Act of 2026. KQED says the tax would raise about $23 million a year for 18 years.
Majority or two-thirds?
KQED lists Measure B as needing a simple majority, which applies to citizen-initiated special taxes. ABC7 labels it "66% To Pass," the standard for special taxes placed on the ballot by a government body. At 64%, the measure clears a majority but falls just short of two-thirds, so the outcome depends on which threshold applies. That may become clearer as the county updates and certifies results.
All results are unofficial election-night and early-morning counts as of Wednesday, Nov. 4. Counties keep counting mail and provisional ballots for days, and certification comes later, so margins can shift, especially in close contests.
