Downtown Morgan Hill turns its main street over to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. The Morgan Hill Downtown Association's Safe Trick-or-Treat and Pumpkin Market runs from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, according to Visit Morgan Hill and the city's event calendar.
What to expect
Monterey Road closes to vehicles, and downtown businesses hand out candy. Visit Morgan Hill describes it as free, safe trick-or-treating for children under 12. The Pumpkin Market runs alongside.
Road closures and parking
The event covers Monterey Road between Main Avenue and Fourth Street. Road closures run from 1 to 8 p.m., the city's road-closure page says, so plan around downtown in the early afternoon. The downtown parking garage stays open, with access from Depot Street. (That city page lists the event as Friday, but its own calendar and Visit Morgan Hill both put it on Saturday, Oct. 31.)
Next downtown events
The Downtown Association's Whiskey Walk is Nov. 7, with no road closures. The Veterans Day Run is Nov. 15. Streets won't close for it, but runners may slow traffic along the course, the city says.
