Loco Bloco's annual Día de los Muertos production returns to Brava Theater, 2781 24th Street, on Sunday, Nov. 1. This year's show is called "Esto No Se Vende," or "This We Do Not Sell."

Times and tickets

Brava lists altares viewing starting at 10 a.m., with performances at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the main stage. Regular general admission is $25, and youth and student admission is $15 with a valid ID. Brava says tickets must be bought through its official ticketing service.

On stage

Performers include the Loco Bloco Performing Ensemble of youth dancers and drummers, Cuicacalli Dance Company, Christelle Durandy, Lanakila Mangauil and Odoiya Women's Chorus. Brava describes artists from Mexican, Central American, African American, Caribbean and other communities offering their takes on the holiday's themes.

For the day, the theater becomes a living ofrenda, with altars by community artists and organizations in the lobby and a danza azteca ceremony out front. Project SF notes the 24th Street Mission BART station is about a 15-minute walk.
