No. 6 Indiana beat Michigan 13-6 in overtime Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Josh Hoover's 4-yard run scored the game's only touchdown.
Why it matters: Indiana (7-1) bounced back from its loss to Ohio State. USA Today reported it was the Hoosiers' first win in Ann Arbor since 1967.
How it happened
Indiana led 6-0 at halftime on two Nico Radicic field goals. Michigan's Trey Butkowski kicked a 26-yard field goal as time expired to force overtime, Yahoo Sports reported.
In overtime, Hoover hit tight end Brock Schott for 21 yards, then ran it in. Michigan could not score on its possession.
Hoover went 8-of-18 for 81 yards with his first interception of the season. Coach Curt Cignetti said he "wasn't 100% today." Michigan true freshman Tommy Carr, starting over Bryce Underwood, went 20-of-32 for 167 yards with an interception and a lost fumble.
"We found a way," Cignetti said. "It wasn't pretty, but it's a win."
