Delage, the Old Oakland sushi restaurant at 536 Ninth St. reopened Sept. 16 with a new owner, according to The Oaklandside's Nosh.

A handoff between friends

Founder Chikara Ono, who opened Delage in 2016, is spending more time in Japan and passed the restaurant to his friend, chef Kyle Itani, Nosh reports. Itani is known for Yonsei Handrolls, Itani Ramen, Itani Sushi and Hopscotch. He tapped Jeremias Jimenez, his Itani Sushi collaborator, to lead the sushi program, Nosh reports.

What's offered

Delage serves a $140 eight-course omakase at dinner, plus an a la carte menu, according to Nosh. There's also a lunch menu with a la carte and set options, and takeout. The room has three dining tables and 10 seats at the sushi bar.

Hours

Delage's website lists Monday through Saturday, with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.
