Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are hosting a grand opening Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cheech & Chong's Dispensoria on River Road in Forestville, their first California store, The Press Democrat reported.
Why it matters: It is the cannabis brand's first shop in the duo's home state, after stores in Massachusetts, Maine, Oklahoma and Montana.
How the meet and greet works
Entry is free and first come, first served, according to the event page. To join the line, guests need a receipt showing they spent $100 or more at the Forestville store between Oct. 9 and Oct. 24. The first 250 qualifying guests get a pre-signed poster, and no other autographs will be signed on-site. Guests must be 21 or older with ID.
The Press Democrat listed the address as 10655 River Road, while the brand's event page lists 10665 River Road.
About the shop
The store shares space with locally owned In The Tree Apothecary, which sells herbal products sourced from the Russian River Valley, The Press Democrat reported. "California is home," Marin said in a press release.
