Cal Fire plans a two-day prescribed burn Monday and Tuesday off Chiles Pope Valley Road, east of Angwin in northern Napa County, the Napa Valley Register and Bay City News reported.
What to know
About 100 acres of grassland and brush are targeted.
Burning can start as early as 8 a.m. each day if conditions allow.
Cal Fire will have four engines, two crews and one dozer on site, and Napa County Fire will add two engines and two water tenders, the Register reported.
The goal is more wildfire protection below the Angwin and Howell Mountain communities.
The burn could change at the last minute because of weather, smoke management or safety rules, and it will be rescheduled if conditions aren't suitable, Cal Fire said.
