Bruno Mars brings his "The Romantic" tour to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, with both shows scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Three transit agencies are adding or shifting service for concertgoers, which can save a lot of time compared with stadium parking and post-show traffic on Tasman Drive and Highway 101.
VTA
VTA lists both concerts as special-service events. Its event page says added light rail trips start at Gish or Diridon stations, and the Orange Line runs from Alum Rock to Levi's Stadium. After the show, VTA says bus return service begins right away and extra service runs for up to an hour after the event ends, so the agency is urging riders to head to their return stop promptly.
VTA's Orange Line connects with Caltrain at Mountain View and with BART at Milpitas, which is the simplest route for riders coming from the East Bay or San Francisco by BART.
Caltrain
Caltrain has posted a special schedule for the weekend. According to its service alert, eastbound Train 742 is canceled, westbound Train 743 is extended to San Jose Diridon, and eastbound Train 750 leaves Santa Clara/Great America station at 11:30 p.m. Caltrain also sells a joint Caltrain and VTA day pass for $7.50 more than a regular day pass, valid on VTA buses and light rail until 3 a.m. VTA notes that riders shouldn't buy the joint pass at Mountain View; there, buy the Caltrain fare and VTA fare separately.
Capitol Corridor
Capitol Corridor is running special trains both days. Its posted schedule shows a late eastbound train leaving Santa Clara/Great America at 11:30 p.m., with stops including Fremont-Centerville, Hayward and Oakland Coliseum on the way toward Sacramento.
Schedules can change, so check each agency's page before you leave home.
