Westfield Valley Fair, the mall that straddles San Jose and Santa Clara, is adding several new restaurants, according to Palo Alto Online and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
What's coming and when
- Chubby Tan: expected October or November. At its other locations, set combos run about $44 to $54, per Palo Alto Online.
- CHAGEE: the tea chain, expected in November.
- Izumi: revolving sushi, expected in December.
- Kajiken: a Michelin-recommended noodle shop from Japan; no opening date yet.
The bigger picture
The Business Journal reports the mall's food lineup is growing with Asian restaurant concepts. Valley Fair has been one of the Bay Area's busiest shopping centers, and food has become a bigger draw as retail shifts.
