The Portola's Garden District gets a Halloween makeover on Saturday, Oct. 31. From 6 to 10 p.m., the Green Between garden at Burrows Pocket Park will be lit with spooky lights along its paths, with music by DJ Antitdope and seasonal treats, according to Project SF.

The event page on Luma says El Fuego will serve Mexican food all night, and invites "little ghouls, grown-up goblins, and everyone in between." Come in costume or as you are.

Who's behind it

Spooky Garden Reverie is a free, all-ages celebration from the Portola Neighborhood Association in partnership with Family Connection Centers, made possible by a grant from the Civic Joy Fund. Admission is free and donations are encouraged to help keep neighborhood events going.

Getting there

Project SF lists Muni lines 8, 8AX, 8BX, 9, 9R, 54 and 90 within a five-minute walk. The T Third Street stop at Carroll Avenue is about 14 minutes on foot.
