Nvidia and Meta announced on Tuesday, Oct. 27, that they will expand their partnership on Muse, Meta's AI assistant and family of models. As part of the announcement, Nvidia said it will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering. Reuters confirmed both points.

What's in the deal

  • The companies will work together to improve Muse's inference and training performance and lower its total cost of ownership.
  • Meta plans to deploy more Nvidia Vera Rubin systems and Vera CPUs, plus Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4.
  • The companies are also considering collaborations on Nvidia's OpenShell reference architecture for safe agent deployment and Nvidia Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.

"Muse is how we bring personal superintelligence to everyone," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in the release. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called AI agents "a new computing paradigm."

Context
