The candidates
- Gwyneth Gilkey, ballot designation: Data Scientist, Cybersecurity.
- Ed McGee, ballot designation: Landscaper.
The county lists Gregory T. Pyka, appointed in lieu of election, as the current officeholder. Pyka is not a candidate.
About the district
The district provides wastewater collection, treatment and disposal for part of Martinez and nearby unincorporated land. Its website highlights a voluntary study with Central San on a possible consolidation, and the district's transition to by-division elections. Visitors need an appointment to tour Moorhen Marsh and the treatment plant.

How to vote
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls and vote centers close at 8 p.m., and mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and arrive within seven days. You can check your registration and ballot status at sos.ca.gov/elections. California lets you register and vote the same day at a vote center.
