Jon Bon Jovi says getting back on stage after vocal cord surgery feels like a "second chance to experience everything for the first time," he told Michael Strahan in a Good Morning America interview that aired Monday.
Why it matters: In 2022 the singer had surgery after a vocal injury and spent two years training to get his voice back. The band is now taking the Forever Tour back to stadiums in 2027.
"I am singing it"
"My greatest aspiration through this recovery route was to be able to pick anything off of any album and know I can do it. That's where I'm at," he told ABC News. He also said that health is "the only thing that matters," pointing to the 2024 death of his mother, Carol, and his father's stroke.
The 2027 dates
Billboard lists seven new shows: Melbourne (March 4), Sydney (March 11), London's BST Hyde Park (June 24), MetLife Stadium (July 15), Chicago's Soldier Field (July 21), Gillette Stadium (July 28) and Toronto's Rogers Stadium (Aug. 4). No Bay Area date has been announced.
The North American artist presale starts Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. local time, and the general on-sale is Oct. 30.
