Hops & Scotch, Walnut Creek's Whiskey and Beer Bar Near Pleasant Hill BART, Has Closed

Hops & Scotch Taproom & Whiskey Bar, at 7001 Sunne Lane in Walnut Creek, has closed, The Oaklandside's Nosh food section reported Friday. The bar served an extensive selection of whiskeys and beers along with fusion bar bites.

Local blog Beyond the Creek first reported the closure on Oct. 27, after a reader tipped it off. The bar opened more than eight years ago in the Avalon apartment complex, near the Pleasant Hill BART station, the blog said.

A goodbye note

According to Nosh, Walnut Creek Spotlight shared a photo on Instagram of a note from the bar that read: “Thank you for sharing your good times with us! We love and appreciate you all! CHEERS!!”

Neither outlet reported a reason for the closure, and it isn't known what will replace the bar.
