History

Stanley Hiller began collecting aircraft at a Redwood City warehouse as early as the late 1960s, according to Wikipedia. A trust he established funded a new building at San Carlos Airport, and the 53,000-square-foot Hiller Aviation Museum opened on June 5, 1998. It focuses on Northern California aviation history and Hiller aircraft, with more than 50 aircraft in its collection.
