Three of Half Moon Bay's five council seats are on the Nov. 3 ballot, with Mayor Debbie Ruddock facing a challenge and an open seat covering Main Street and downtown.
Half Moon Bay's City Council reviewed a draft artificial intelligence policy on Oct. 20. It would require IT approval for every new AI tool, keep people in charge of decisions and favor AI that runs on city computers so resident data stays in-house.
