On Nov. 1, 2010, in Arlington, Texas, the Giants beat the Rangers 3-1 to win the World Series four games to one. It was the franchise's first championship since 1954.

Game 5 was a rematch of Game 1's starters, Tim Lincecum and Cliff Lee. Lincecum allowed one run on three hits and struck out 10 over eight innings. In the seventh, Edgar Renteria hit a three-run homer off Lee. Renteria was named World Series MVP after hitting .412 with two homers and six RBIs.

Earlier in the series, Madison Bumgarner, then 21, threw eight scoreless innings in a 4-0 win in Game 4. Aubrey Huff and Buster Posey homered in that game.

The Giants went on to win titles in 2012 and 2014. Our anniversary piece on the 2014 Game 7 ran earlier today.
