Oakland's Creative Growth Art Center is a nonprofit studio and gallery for artists with disabilities. Next month it's putting its artists' work on skin. The center is partnering with local tattoo artists in Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco to offer original Creative Growth designs, and proceeds from each tattoo go back to the center.
The flash
SFist reports that the designs come from more than a dozen Creative Growth artists. They include a spaceship, a flower, birds, a shark and an assortment of abstract creatures and shapes.
