Calvin Klein has hired Ayub Mohamed as chief product officer, effective Jan. 25, The Retail Bulletin reported.
Who he is
- Mohamed spent about two and a half years as executive vice president of product at Lacoste, overseeing design, merchandising and development.
- Before that he was chief merchandising officer at Kenzo, and held senior roles at Tory Burch, Donna Karan/DKNY and Givenchy, plus nearly eight years at Levi Strauss — the San Francisco denim company.
The job
He will run the global product organization of the PVH-owned brand and report to David Savman, Calvin Klein's global brand president.
"Ayub is an accomplished global product leader with a deep understanding of how to translate a brand's creative identity into desirable product," Savman said. Mohamed said Calvin Klein has "distinctive design codes and a compelling product offering."
