The Bay Area's college volleyball rivalry is a home-and-home this week. Cal (15-6, 5-5 ACC) hosts No. 18 Stanford (13-7, 6-4 ACC) at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. The rematch is Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion on the Stanford campus, according to both schools' athletics departments.
The streak
Cal Athletics says the Bears are trying to beat Stanford for the first time since 2020. They've lost 11 straight to the Cardinal, and they're also still chasing their first win over a ranked team this season.
Form coming in
Both teams just got back from North Carolina. Cal lost to No. 22 North Carolina and Duke, its first back-to-back losses since opening ACC play against SMU and Pitt. Stanford beat Duke 3-1 and then lost in five sets at North Carolina, according to Stanford's schedule.
How to watch
Stanford Athletics says both matches stream on ACC Network Extra. Cal lists them on ESPN+. Both schools offer live scoring through StatBroadcast. After this week, both teams head to Florida for road matches against Miami and Florida State.
