BART Police is hosting a free Trunk or Treat for families on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. BART lists the location as MacArthur BART Station Plaza in Oakland.
Why it matters: It's a free Halloween option for East Bay families that you can reach by train.
What to expect
Kids are encouraged to wear costumes. BART says there will be games, giveaways and "lots of free candy," with the highlight being trick-or-treating around the plaza at decorated police vehicles.
Who can go
The event is for children 12 and under, and they must be with an adult. The family events site 510 Families lists it as free.
Double-check the spot
BART's announcement gives MacArthur Station Plaza as the venue, but 510 Families' calendar lists Lake Merritt BART Plaza. We're going with BART's own notice. Check bart.gov before you head out.
