Banana Republic, founded in San Francisco in 1978, has launched a 27-piece holiday capsule with New York label Zankov. It is priced from $90 to $600 at select stores and BananaRepublic.com.

Why it matters: It pairs the Gap Inc.-owned brand's archive with a CFDA award-winning young designer for the holiday season.

The pieces

The hero item is the Auden brushed-cashmere sweater in vivid stripes, according to Banana Republic. Others include the Sasha striped cardigan, the Frankie polo, the Lucien Fair Isle sweater, the Helene leather-and-suede pencil skirt inspired by a 1986 style, the Mateo burgundy leather bomber and the Lev car coat in Italian wool.

The line spans menswear, womenswear and accessories with universal sizing. Who What Wear called the cashmere sweater, leather midi skirt and patterned coat standouts.

The designer

Henry Zankov founded his label in 2020 and won the CFDA American Emerging Designer of the Year award in 2024. He said he wanted each piece "to feel like something you could live with, love, and eventually pass down as an heirloom."
